Privacy policy

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this website we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the service you are asking about, and whatever you write in your message. If you apply for a role, your application goes by email straight to us and contains whatever you choose to send.

Why we collect it

To respond to you, to arrange the work you are asking about, and to keep a record of the enquiry. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Spam protection

The enquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that submissions come from people rather than bots. Turnstile processes technical information about your browser and connection to make that decision. Its operation is covered by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.

Where your information lives

Enquiries are stored on secure cloud infrastructure hosted in Australia, and notification emails are delivered through our email provider. Because this information is held outside New Zealand, we use providers whose safeguards we consider comparable to the protections of the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how the site is used, for example which pages people read and whether they arrived from a search engine. Each page view is recorded with the page address, the site that referred you, the general area the request came from, and your device type, browser and operating system.

It sets no cookies, and the record is not tied to your name or your IP address. Repeat visits are counted using a value worked out from the request itself, which is discarded after 24 hours, so what we see is visitor totals rather than individual people. It cannot follow you to other websites.

Cookies

The public website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookies set are essential ones: a session cookie when our own staff sign in to the admin area, and any technical cookie Turnstile needs to verify the enquiry form.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as they are useful for responding to you and for our ordinary business records, and we remove them when they are no longer needed.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Use the contact details on this website and we will sort it. If you are not happy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
